Papers, Patents and Awards:Mr. Shelton is a lifetime member of IEEE and has authored several papers and holds a number of patents related to nonvolatile memories. He has chaired sessions at the IEEE Nonvolatile Memory Workshop and served on the IEEE Standards Committee for Floating-Gate Nonvolatile Memories. While at Hughes, he received the General Motors Research & Development Center’s “Most Valuable Colleague” award for work done in developing magneto-resistive sensors.
Frank Bohac is a co-founder and co-owner of Custom Silicon Solutions, Inc. As Vice President and Director of Engineering, he directs all Integrated Circuit (IC) development at CSS, including the management of the Engineering and Test Development staff. He is also responsible for the technical aspects of IC development proposals and the production test Quality Assurance Program.
Mr. Bohac has over 30 years of experience in the Integrated Circuit Industry. He has extensive experience in the design of integrated circuits, having personally designed over 40 mixed-signal ASICs. Typical applications of these designs include: electronic odometers, security systems, spread spectrum transmitters, hearing aids, display drivers, signal conditioners, magneto-resistive sensors and RF identification tags.
Prior to founding CSS, Mr. Bohac was a Design Manager at Hughes Microelectronics responsible for the development of all mixed-signal IC designs. At Hughes, he designed the first 8K CMOS EEPROM which was presented at the IEEE Nonvolatile Memory Workshop. Earlier, Mr. Bohac participated in nonvolatile memory and CCD development work at the Hughes Research Center.
